How it began
"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear." (1 John 4:18)
two hearts, one chapter
It started, quietly, in church, long before either of us called it a love story. There was no grand meeting, no single moment; just two people who kept showing up in the same room, sharing hello's after service, and somehow finding it easy to talk to each other. A friendship, nothing more. Or so we thought.
God had other plans in motion for both of us. Somewhere in the waiting, in the uncertainty, one thing kept standing out with a strange kind of clarity: how easy it was to talk to each other. How the conversations never ran dry. How, without trying, that friendship had quietly become one of the steadiest things in the room.
When Ikenna took a courageous step, what followed was a love neither of us had experienced before. The kind that doesn't hide, doesn't waver, doesn't require anyone to be smaller or different than they are. In each other, we found freedom - to be fully ourselves, imperfections included, and to be loved in all of it.
On the 20th of August 2026, we say yes to all of it - the friendship that came first, the love that blossomed, and the life we're now building together, on purpose, with open eyes and full hearts.
